Welcome!

'SHOEZ' has been the inspiration for my senior thesis. How we wear shoez, what do they mean culturally, socially, and physically. What if there were no longer a need for shoez, would our society change? My project challenges the way one thinks about the touching sensation we feel with our feet. One of the five senses, and long since forgotten about, I seek to reintroduce the natural way in which one experiences surface and architecture. This project that I am building will allow people to walk, sit, and enjoy the availability of sense with a non-commercial material using recycled media. I also am seeking an architecture that accepts the body, not just our feet, but one that supports the anatomy of the human form. Imagine walking into a cafe, ordering your non-fat, 180 degree extra hot, no foam latte and nestling within a cove that is soft, forms to your sore back, and is made simply into the wall while opening a new novel and disappearing for a few hours. No need for chairs, or tables or loud neighbors.

Enjoy the progress I make as I navigate through these last few months of my college education, Enjoy!

Our trip up the coast for WOOD!

Anhtuan and I woke up at 8 am to rent a trailer for our wood. Anhtuan's little 4runner did quite well with the load, and the drivers didn't do a bad job either considering we (mainly me) had never driven with a trailer before! It was a great trip and a lot of fun. I am so appreciative to Pat for donating the wood to my cause, thank you PAT!! Enjoy the pictures...

we got a lot of bugs...

pit stop...one of a few. Look at all that wood!!!

It was a beautiful drive from Orland!!
